Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a Library & Technology Manager to oversee a professionally operated school library with a focus on fostering reading and information literacy. You will partner with teachers and students to integrate library media center resources into the instructional program and provide a welcoming atmosphere that encourages learning.

Qualifications

• Substantial library experience, with experience of working with schools or with children.
• Knowledge of children's literature and resources to support curriculum.
• Awareness of trends in library services and technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote the role of the library in the school.
• Work with teaching staff to plan and deliver information skills curriculum.
• Manage the school library and library resources across the school.
• Organize, catalogue and classify library resources, electronic and print.
• Manage the school library budget in conjunction with the budget holder.
• Supervise and train staff and pupil librarians.
• Keep principal, staff and parents informed about library needs and development.
