Job summary

Essex Westford School District's Essex High School in Essex Junction, Vermont seeks a Library Technical Assistant I to manage the automated library system, back up the library media office, and generate reports starting with the 2026-2027 school year.

The role is full-time, 7 hours per day during the school year, supervising students and library patrons, enforcing rules, and handling clerical tasks such as barcoding, data entry, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Prior library experience preferred.
• Ability to use technology programs including database programs and digital catalogs.
• Love for working with students.
• Great organizational skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Experience working with high school students is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate the automated library system and generate library reports.
• Provide back-up service to the EHS library media office.
