Job summary

La Mesa-Spring Valley School District is seeking a Library and Learning Resource Technician. Under the direction of the Principal, you will support library collection, circulation and inventory, provide students with textbooks and workbooks, and instruct students in using library resources.

You will maintain the library environment, prepare materials, input data into the library system, and assist with reading programs and informational inquiries from students, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with at least some clerical experience preferred in a school or public library.
• Familiarity with library systems, circulation and textbook processing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collection, circulation and inventory of library materials.
• Provide textbooks and workbooks to students as needed.
• Instruct students on use of library resources and catalogs.
