Job summary

Duxbury Public Schools is hiring a Library Assistant for Duxbury Middle School and Duxbury High School in Massachusetts. The role supports library operations, assists students and teachers with research, and collaborates with staff to provide resources across grades 6-12.

Responsibilities include cataloging, database updates, student monitoring, and materials stocking, with a focus on discretion and confidentiality. Applicants must have relevant library experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a library environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of every student.
• Demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist the DMS/DHS Librarian with cataloging, database updates, student monitoring, stocking of materials and other assigned duties.
• Demonstrate a willingness to accept constructive feedback from the supervisor.
