Job summary

BASIS Ed is seeking a Head of School for BASIS Peoria to assume comprehensive responsibility for all school activities involving students and faculty. The role demands leadership of faculty, curriculum alignment with BASIS goals, and strong community relations to support fundraising and growth.

Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) and IVP clearance; 5-7 years in a school setting and 2+ years of people leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• 5-7 years' experience in a school setting, preferably charter or independent.
• 2+ years' experience managing, leading and motivating people.

Responsibilities

• Act as the educational leader of the school, responsible for its day to day academic operation.
• Directs the activities of the faculty and ensures alignment with BASIS mission.
• Oversees curriculum development and assessment to drive student achievement.
• Ensure a positive school climate with high morale and strong community relations.
• Oversees school directors and coordinates with them to monitor student performance.
