Job summary

BASIS Ed Leander is seeking a Head of Operations to lead finance, facilities, and HR for the school site. You will manage vendor relations, purchasing, and accounting in collaboration with central office staff, while supporting BASIS standards and school operations.

You will supervise a small operations team and report to the Sr. Vice President of School Services, contributing to a safe, efficient campus environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• MBA or BA in Business Administration or similar degree.
• 3-5 years in a financial or purchasing management role.
• 2+ years of facilities management experience.
• HR related functions preferred.
• Education management or nonprofit management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees school facilities, IT, security and inventory management.
• Manages the school budget and maintains on-site bookkeeping with central-office support.
• Partners with the head of school on salaries and benefits decisions.
• Manages HR functions for school employees with central HR.
• Researches and manages vendor contracts and school services.
• Purchases supplies, textbooks and operating materials.
• Ensures safety drills and records for facilities and staff.
• Maintains accurate records of assets and front-office operations.
