Job summary

Thomas Cuisine is seeking a Utility team member for a private school kitchen in Dallas, TX. You’ll help keep the prep area clean, organized, and running smoothly so students and staff receive safe, nutritious meals.

No experience is required; you must communicate clearly, be reliable, and a true team player. This full-time role runs 6:00am-2:30pm and pays $18 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and the chance to contribute to student health through great service.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Positive attitude, drive and self-accountability.
• Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
• Able to undergo background check and drug screen as per state laws.
• Provide documents for work authorization; E-Verify used.
• Physical ability to bend, lift heavy items, and stand long.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness and responsible food handling.

Responsibilities

• Load, run and unload the dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report issues immediately.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Monitor water temperature for sanitary wash cycle.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for service.
• Bag and haul trash and cardboard at designated times.
• Handle dishware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain supplies of dish detergents and cleaning products.
• Adhere to dress code and wear uniform and name badge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
