Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Serve Safe certified or able to obtain certification on hire.
• Must pass federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, salads according to recipes and schedules.
• Wash, cut, portion, and package food for distribution to schools.
• Assist with meal assembly and packaging to meet quality standards.
• Label, date, and store food following safety guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment including slicers, ovens, scales, and packaging equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
• Follow HAACP procedures and document food temperatures as required.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory using FIFO.
• Support cooks and production staff with food preparation and other duties.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal food safety guidelines.
