Job summary

Strasburg School District 31J is seeking a Substitute Food Service worker to assist in daily kitchen operations and meal service at Strasburg, Colorado. You will help prepare meals, maintain food safety standards, and support the food service team under the Director of Food Services.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, a preferred High School Diploma, and prior school food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is preferred.
• Successful experience in school food service is preferred.
• Follow HACCP and sanitation principles in food handling and equipment use.
• Basic mathematics and good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Organize and schedule tasks so students are served nutritious meals in a timely manner.
• Forecast production needs to ensure food and supplies are ordered and served in the correct amount.
• Ensure all products are labeled and prepared/served according to USDA standards.
• Maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperatures; keep backroom clean.
