Job summary

RSU 23 is seeking a Food Service Attendant - Substitute for its three-school district. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen cleanup, following safety procedures and instructions from the Kitchen Manager.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and CHRC Fingerprinting; knowledge of sanitation procedures; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior school food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CHRC Fingerprinting Certification.
• Working knowledge of proper food service safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow food preparation instructions.
• Possess ability to properly and safely operate kitchen equipment.
• School food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food prep, meal service, and cleanup as part of the production team.
• Follow directions from Kitchen Manager and Nutrition Services Director.
• Perform physical work and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks promptly.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and students.
• Maintain personal and kitchen cleanliness.
• Handle a variety of foods and preparation methods.
