Genuine Foods is seeking a Food Service Worker to join our team at KESD Lyndon Town School in Lyndonville, VT. This full-time role focuses on serving meals and assisting with food preparation in line with recipe standards and USDA School Lunch guidelines, while delivering top-notch customer service to students, teachers, and parents.

You’ll work with a supportive team, have opportunities to learn culinary skills, and contribute to a positive dining experience in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Flexible and team-oriented.
• Previous food or customer service experience in a mid-high volume setting.
• Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program requirements.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level-headedness.
• Punctual and able to adhere to attendance policy.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Interest in Genuine Foods’ mission to support students’ minds, bodies and happiness.
• Able to work in a K-12 school environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all served food meets Genuine Foods quality and safety standards.
• Serve food to students and staff with a positive attitude.
• Coordinate with teammates to prepare and serve food on time.
• Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize kitchen and serving areas for efficient service.
• Report issues to Site Lead or Manager promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
