Job summary

Crave-It Nutrition seeks a skilled Sous Chef to support the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef at Brentwood Christian School in Brentwood, TX. This hands-on role demands restaurant-level technique and speed within a school setting.

You will supervise prep and service, run the kitchen when the Head Chef is unavailable, and help deliver high-quality, scratch-cooked meals while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of professional kitchen experience in a high-quality, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong culinary skills in knife work, cooking technique, seasoning and plating.
• Experience supervising or leading other cooks.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily menu items with precision and consistency; maintain high quality across stations.
• Support menu development and contribute ideas for scratch-made dishes.
• Supervise cooks and prep staff; run kitchen in Head Chef's absence.
• Maintain clean, organized kitchen compliant with health codes.
• Manage prep lists, production timelines, and station setup to ensure on-time service.
