Job summary

NANA Management Services (NMS) in Juneau, AK is seeking a Food Service Worker to support meal services within the Juneau School District. The role involves varied shifts (6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.), full-time hours, and requires the Alaska Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire date.
• Card valid for 3 years; training through an approved provider.
• Knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Clean dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas by hand or machine; maintain cleanliness of dining and storage areas.
• Stock supplies and maintain proper inventory levels in prep, serving, or storage areas.
• Assist with food preparation, cooking, and serving of meals as needed.
• Set up and break down service areas, tables, snack bars, and serving lines.
• Remove trash and participate in scheduled deep-cleaning projects.
• Support cooks and other staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
