Qualifications

• Qualified cook with institutional or commercial food service experience.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes for quantity cooking.
• Ability to complete production records and evaluate menus to order and prepare meals for students.
• Ability to communicate with the principal, teachers, students and cafeteria staff.
• Must have the Food Service Manager’s Sanitation Certificate or obtain one within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Be courteous and patient with customers and staff.
• Record and bank receipts; track lunch payments.
• Train new employees and substitutes; assign duties and payroll processing.
• Prepare food orders and supply lists; check deliveries for quality and quantity.
