Job summary

Elior School Dining is seeking an experienced lead cook for Maple Lake Public School District in Minnesota. You will lead food preparation, train and supervise a team of foodservice professionals, and ensure meals are served efficiently on a school lunch line.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with strong leadership and communication skills. Schedule is 7am–1:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control in a school dining setting.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent multitasking, leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in food service supervision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and assisting with the preparation and service of food items.
• Following established recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and proper portioning.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
• Adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Monitoring food usage and inventory to help control costs and minimize waste.
• Preparing and serving food on the tray line while providing efficient, quality service.
