Compass Group USA’s Chartwells K-12 is seeking a full-time Food Unit Lead for Flint Community Schools in Flint, MI. You will coordinate food-service staff, ensure a positive dining experience, and maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety.

Shift options include 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Prior cooking and kitchen supervisory experience are required. The role offers a pay range of $17.00–$19.00 per hour with benefits for full-time associates.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience and kitchen supervisory experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Trains employees and assigns work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Manages schedules, reports, and cash handling as required.
• Orders food and supplies from approved sources and ensures sanitation and safety compliance.
