Elior School Dining is seeking a Lead Cook for St. Mary's Parish School in Hales Corners, WI. This hands-on role supports daily food service operations, cooks meals, serves students and staff, and maintains a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The position requires a high school diploma and cooking/food service experience, with preference for school or high-volume food service background. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cooking or food service experience.
• Ability to cook, serve, clean, and support all areas of daily food service operations.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic computer and administrative skills.
• Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Previous experience in school, institutional, or high-volume food service (nice-to-have).
• Culinary training or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards.
• Serve meals to students and staff with friendly, professional service.
• Assist with daily setup and breakdown of food service areas.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, serving areas, and dishes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Monitor food production, inventory, and portion control to manage costs.
• Provide direction and support to food service team members.
• Complete light administrative duties, including basic paperwork and production records.
