Springfield City School District seeks a Cook Helper/Cashier at Roosevelt Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports a 4-hour daily schedule and includes cashier duties, food prep, and inventory tasks in a busy school kitchen.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, flexibility for professional development, and the ability to work on a team with diverse students and staff. Starting wage is $18.68 per hour; 188 contracted days per year, Monday–Friday.

Qualificações

• As a Cook Helper/Cashier you must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a high-volume production kitchen is preferred.
• Be flexible with schedule and willing to participate in professional development.
• Be willing to serve on teams and relate to students from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role.

Responsabilidades

• Takes direction from the Head Cook in the assigned kitchen.
• Prepares food for the school according to SOPs to feed students and staff.
• Adheres to cashier standards of operations, reporting and maintenance.
• Follow systems to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Operates equipment safely and efficiently.
• Serves as a contact for issues and reports to Head Cook promptly.
• Helps prepare monthly inventory under Head Cook supervision.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork.
• Helps ensure safe receiving, storage, rotation, and disposition of food and supplies.
• Work as cashier regularly, or as needed.
