Job summary

SFE- Southwest Foodservice Excellence in Oklahoma is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker Floater to support multiple school kitchens. The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining clean work areas, and delivering friendly service as coverage is needed across sites.

Floater requires reliability, adaptability, and the ability to travel daily between school sites. You will follow recipes, production records, safety standards, and assist with deliveries and end-of-shift tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or cleaning experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel daily to different sites.
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced and varying environments.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Must pass a background check and fingerprint screening.

Responsibilities

• Travel between school sites to assist daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and serve food according to recipes, production records, and safety standards.
• Keep workspaces clean, organized, and safe.
• Restock serving areas including food lines, salad bars, and milk boxes.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
• Serve meals to students, staff, and guests with a positive attitude.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks and follow health regulations.
• Step in to support kitchen teams or cover absences.
• Submit reports and complete assigned tasks on time.
• Take direction from Kitchen Managers and adjust quickly to new team dynamics.
