Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining at St. Mary's School in Aliso Viejo, CA is hiring for a full-time dishwasher. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a focus on maintaining a sanitary, organized dish area and assisting with supplies and basic kitchen cleanup.

Previous dishwashing experience is preferred. This role offers the opportunity to work within a team that supports nutritious meal programs across private and independent schools, with benefits that vary by location.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand and perform tasks for extended periods.
• Team player with a positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays according to procedures.
• Polishes silver using available equipment and methods.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dish areas and equipment.
• Monitors temperatures and chemical levels per standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and safe.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet safety standards.
• Cleans worktables, walls and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and handles waste disposal.
• Transports supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with loading/unloading supplies as needed.
