Job summary

Township High School District 211 is seeking a Kitchen Custodian to clean and sanitize the kitchen and assist with delivery and storage of cafeteria supplies. This 10-month position runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a salary and benefits established by the District's operations maintenance group. The role requires lifting up to 30 pounds, following safety procedures, and performing other duties as assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager.

Qualifications

• Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment.
• Possess safety habits, skills and insight while performing assigned duties.
• Possess inventory & stock rotation skills.
• Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks. Lifting up to 30 lbs. with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen as necessary.
• Assists with delivery and storage of cafeteria supplies.
• Rotates frozen and refrigerated stock as required.
• Removes kitchen and cafeteria refuse.
• Delivers prepared projects within the building.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager
