Job summary

Whitsons is seeking a School Cook to join our nutrition team to help prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students. You will cook according to school menus, maintain a clean kitchen, and work with a team to serve meals on time. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.

Pay is $18 per hour with paid training and comprehensive benefits; performance and reliability are valued in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete Whitsons and government required training as necessary.
• ServSafe certification.
• Local food safety certification, if required.
• 1 year professional culinary experience.
• Ability to speak/read English.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of meals according to school menus.
• Ensure all food is safely cooked and presented with care.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
• Work with team to serve meals in a timely, friendly manner.
• Support special dietary needs and food allergy safety procedures.
