Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining at Saint Mark’s Episcopal School in Oakland Park, FL is seeking a hands-on Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver high-quality meals for students and staff. Qualifications

• 5 years of related culinary experience including 1 year at the management level.
• Experience in schools, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or health care food service.

Responsibilities

• Be a hands-on culinary leader; work with the team to prepare and cook exceptional food.
• Motivate, train, coach and develop back-of-house team while maintaining teamwork and accountability.
• Assist with menu planning and execution; ensure food is flavorful, fresh, creative, and well-presented.
• Assist with ordering, inventory management, and kitchen organization.
• Help execute successful events while maintaining quality and presentation.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and kitchen practices meet regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with culinary/management teams to keep operations running smoothly.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Assist with managing cost controls and expenditures.
