Genuine Foods is hiring a full-time Cook to prepare and serve meals in a school setting. The role focuses on following recipes, maintaining food safety, and supporting a collaborative kitchen team.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of line cook experience, a willingness to learn NSLP compliance, and a positive, dependable work ethic. The job supports growth and values teamwork and reliability in a school environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of line cook or culinary experience.
• Willingness to learn the USDA National School Lunch Program compliance.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level headedness.
• Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Interest in Genuine Foods’ mission to support students’ well-being.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.
• Cook and prep food correctly based on recipes and specifications from the Chef/Genuine Foods.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure food is prepared on time for service.
• Maintain a clean working environment and assist with additional cleaning duties.
• Keep area stocked and organized; perform additional duties as assigned.
