Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is hiring a Food Service Worker at Irvington High School in Irvington, New Jersey. This role helps serve healthy meals to students and staff with a Monday–Friday schedule and no nights or weekends.

You’ll prep, portion, and serve meals, maintain cleanliness and food safety, and work as part of a friendly, energetic kitchen team. No prior experience needed; full training is provided, and pay is competitive.

Qualifications

• Must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• English reading and speaking proficiency to follow recipes and safety rules.
• Ability to work as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.
