Job summary

Benton Community School District is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for the Middle School/High School building to support meals for students. The position starts at $19.00 per hour and runs for 180 student days, with prep and training requirements.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, warewashing, serving and basic food preparation, with emphasis on safety, sanitation and cost awareness. Prior school kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and calculate standardized recipes and have experience and/or knowledge in quantity food preparation.
• Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions and operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Dishwashing, warewashing, serving and sanitation duties.
• Assist with food prep, cooking, baking and cleanup as needed.
• Maintain records and report supply needs to the supervisor.
