Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Assistant Cook at Brainerd High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports nutrition services by preparing food, serving meals, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Hours are 6.5 per day, Monday through Friday. Salary ranges from $13.52 to $18.36 per hour based on certification and experience.

The position involves assisting the head cook, adhering to health and safety standards, and supporting customers in the cafeteria.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with large-scale food preparation preferred.
• Ability to prepare food on a large scale and follow recipes.
• Knowledge of food values, nutrition, and safety practices.
• Ability to work harmoniously with staff and take assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing entrees and measuring ingredients per recipes.
• Serve lunches to students and staff; set up serving line and portions.
• Perform cafeteria cleanup and dishwashing; maintain sanitation.
• Fill in for other cafeteria staff during breaks/absences.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by manager.
