Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking a Substitute School Nutrition Professional to assist in preparing meals, serving students and staff, and maintaining cafeteria sanitation. This reserve position supports regular cooks and covers meals as needed.

The role involves working in district facilities, following recipes, and ensuring proper portioning and temperatures. The position is a substitute/ reserve role with a pay of $13.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with large-scale food preparation preferred.
• Knowledge of food values, nutrition, and health and safety principles.
• Ability to work harmoniously with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the main dish and measure ingredients per recipes.
• Serve lunches to students and staff and set up the serving line.
• Perform cafeteria cleanup and dishwashing and maintain sanitation.
• Fill in for other cafeteria staff to cover breaks or absences.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the manager.
