SkyAbove Therapy is looking for a passionate and skilled School Intervention Therapist (SIT) to join our supportive special education team for the 2025-2026 school year! Work collaboratively in a dynamic school environment, providing essential evaluation and therapy services to students from Early Childhood and Elementary. What You’ll Do:
- Provide evidence based individual and/or group mental health and counseling to identified students
- Utilize techniques for verbal de-escalation of aggressive behavior during a crisis using TEACH
- Prepare relevant sections of the IEP, data collection, and progress monitoring for students on caseload
- Communicate and function effectively as a member of a classroom team (related service providers, teacher, paraprofessionals)
- Attend school district meetings when applicable and/or as requested by the department
What You Bring:
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) within State of Florida (preferred)
- Education: Master's Degree in social work or mental health counseling services
- Intervention Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience providing targeted academic, behavioral, and/or social-emotional interventions to K-12 students (preferred)
- Clinical & Behavioral Skills: Proficiency in conducting needs assessments, developing and implementing small group and individual interventions, and providing classroom-based support and consultation to teachers
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a problem-solving team alongside teachers, administrators, parents, and other ESE staff
- Compliance: Ability to pass a Level 2 background check as required by the state of Florida for working in schools

Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $28.00 - $48.00 per hour | Expected hours: 40 per week
