SkyAbove Therapy is looking for a passionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) to join our supportive special education team for the 2025-2026 school year! Work collaboratively in a dynamic school environment, providing essential evaluation and therapy services to students from Early Childhood and Elementary. What You'll Do

• Provide evidence based individual and/or group mental health and counseling to identified students
• Conduct threat assessment and suicide risk assessment when requested
• Follow daily service documentation requirements
• Collaborate with community agencies
• Communicate and function effectively as a member of a classroom and school team (related service providers, paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents)
• Attend school district meetings when applicable and/or as requested by the department

What You Bring

• Florida Licensure: Must hold a current, active, and unrestricted license in the state of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Education: A Master's Degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling services
• School-Based Experience: A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with significant experience providing mental health services to children and adolescents in a K-12 school setting
• Clinical Skills: Proven expertise in providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and risk assessments. Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices is essential
• ESE Collaboration: Strong understanding of the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) process and experience contributing to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans by providing mental health goals and strategies
• Consultation Abilities: Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation and training to teachers, parents, and school staff on social-emotional learning, classroom supports, and behavioral strategies
• Compliance: Ability to pass a Level 2 background check as required by the state of Florida for working in schools
