Job summary

Fulton County Schools seeks a School Improvement Coach to collaborate with teachers and administrators to raise classroom effectiveness and student achievement. The role emphasizes using Georgia standards, data analysis, and ongoing professional development at Stonewall Tell Elementary.

You will support teacher growth, coordinate site-based training, and deliver district-wide guidance. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s preferred, with three years of teaching experience recommended.

• Assists teachers and grade level teams with the implementation of the Georgia standards
• Works with teachers to improve classroom management and climate through the implementation of effective instructional methods

• Analyzes student test data and advise teachers and appropriate staff of trends, outcomes, needs and effective practices
• Demonstrates, monitors, and evaluates the application of effective teaching strategies
• Recommends best practices to achieve the desired student learning outcomes

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Master's Degree preferred

Certification/Licensure

For Elementary: Must hold or be eligible for a valid and clear teaching certificate in Birth-Kindergarten, Elementary Education (P-5), Special Education General Curriculum, or equivalent. For Literacy Coaches LETRS course completion preferred.

For Secondary Math: Must hold or be eligible for a valid and clear teaching certificate in Middle Grades Mathematics (4-8) or Mathematics (6-12)

For Secondary Literacy Must hold or be eligible for a valid and clear teaching certificate in Middle Grades Reading (4-8), Middle Grades Language Arts (4-8), English (6-12), or Reading Endorsement in addition to a base secondary field (6-12).

For Secondary Science: Middle Grades Science (4-8), Science (6-12), or a related science field (6-12)

For Secondary Social Science: Middle Grades Social Science (4-8) or related social science field (6-12)

Experience Qualifications

Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred
