Job summary

Paris Independent School District (TX) Maintenance is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems across district facilities. The role requires an HVAC certification, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Under general supervision, you will diagnose malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and coordinate with the energy manager on efficiency projects.

Qualifications

• MUST hold HVAC Certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clear and valid Texas driver’s license.
• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance and installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematics.
• Perform mathematical calculations and diagnose problems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems.
• Install new HVAC systems and expand existing ones per code.
• Fabricate and install duct work and connect components per wiring schematics.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and perform duct cleaning.
• Receive work orders, estimate materials and labor, maintain records.
• Inspect completed work and ensure work area is clean.
• Maintain inventory of tools and materials and assist energy manager on surveys.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
