Job summary

Northshore School District is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain heating/cooling systems across district facilities in Bothell, WA. The role emphasizes diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs, and assisting with installations while coordinating with facility teams.

Ideal candidates will have journey-level HVAC experience, strong record-keeping skills, and a valid WA driver's license. The position offers a 12-month, non-exempt schedule with SEBB health coverage and a state retirement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; three years' maintenance experience with heavy and light equipment.
• One year of journey-level HVAC experience required.
• Ability to interpret building plans, data, and schematics; read/write and communicate effectively.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with requesting department/school and other trades for the purpose of completing work orders efficiently.
• Inspect and diagnose malfunctions of HVAC systems and their components; identify repairs or replacement needs; complete preventative maintenance.
• Maintain boilers and machinery; ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Test water and treat water with proper chemical levels.
• Perform pipe and steam fitting duties; assist with installation of gas-fired units.
• Order equipment and supplies; maintain inventory and records of scheduled maintenance.
• Prepare activity logs and repair status information; complete checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations and resolve safety concerns.
• Participate in meetings, training, and workshops.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
