Academies of Math and Science is seeking a Health Technician to support nursing and school health services. The role administers first aid and medications, engages with students, and helps implement the school health program in Peoria, AZ.

Requirements include a Medical Assistant Certificate or CNA/EMT, CPR/AED and First Aid, fingerprint clearance, and 2 years of school-based experience. Competitive hourly pay DOE with a focus on student safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum Medical Assistant Certificate or CNA/EMT with CPR AED and First Aid.
• Valid IVP Level 1 fingerprint clearance at all times.
• Criminal history background check clearance.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and written skills.
• 2 years school-based experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing and school health services and support.
• Liaise with Arizona Department of Health and nonprofits for partnerships.
• Research local laws applicable to AZ schools.
• Conduct quarterly health office audits and report findings.
• Record immunizations, vision, and hearing test results.
• Maintain prescription and non-prescription medications securely.
• Complete weekly accident and health office visit reports.
• Conduct hearing and vision screening.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
