Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Hawaii Keiki Health Technician to coordinate school health tasks at Aiea Intermediate School. You will help organize screenings, promote wellness, collect data, and support health education. Virtual and in-person visits with an APRN are expected, with coverage of health rooms per HIDOE protocol.

The role involves 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30am-2:30pm, at a rate of $22.25 per hour. Paid leave aligns with the school calendar; summer breaks are not scheduled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification
• Experience working in a clinical setting
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Customer service skills
• Familiarity with Patient Confidentiality laws (HIPAA)
• Vital sign measurement

Responsibilities

• Coordinate school wide health tasks and screenings with community partners
• Promote health and wellness and assist with data collection
• Monitor disease surveillance and health needs of students
• Data entry and health education as requested
• Facilitate visits with a nurse practitioner (APRN)
• Cover health rooms as needed following HIDOE protocol
