Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a Substitute Registered Nurse (RN) to provide general health care to students across Hartford Public Schools. The role reports to the Health Services Coordinator and supports health services districtwide.

The ideal candidate is a Connecticut-licensed RN, a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and willing to work in a school setting. Transportation is required to fulfill duties across campuses.

REPORTS TO: Health Services Coordinator

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Provides general health care services to students within the Hartford Public School system.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

●Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.

●Must be a graduate of an accredited school for nurses.

●Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

●Prior nursing experience in an educational environment preferred.

●Knowledge of school health procedures, i.e. state and federal mandates.

●Must have transportation.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

·Current and valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license

·Current and valid CPR certification

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: $45.00 per hour.
