Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a part-time School Nurse to support the health services in a CSUSA school. You will maintain health records, conduct screenings, administer medications, and promote student well-being.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, a school nurse certification or progress toward certification, a bachelor’s degree, and at least three years of nursing experience in an educational setting. Strong communication with families and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state
• School nurse certification or progress toward certification
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• Minimum of three years’ nursing experience (preferred)
• Ability to manage health records and confidentiality
• Knowledge of K-12 health requirements and policies

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date health records using available technology
• Plan and conduct health screenings and appraisals
• Monitor enrolled students for immunization and medical records alignment
• Advise students, staff and parents on health issues
• Administer medications per state law and policy
• Communicate health information with families and staff
• Provide first aid and coordinate emergency care when needed
• Promote a safe, healthy school environment
