Job summary

Archway Programs in Hamilton, NJ is seeking a full-time School Nurse to support daily health services in classrooms at Delaware Valley School. The nurse will supervise nursing procedures, monitor student health, and coordinate with families and staff to ensure continuous care.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, NJ DOE School Nurse Certification, RN License, CPR Certification, and 1-3 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree is required.
1-3 years nursing experience.
NJ Department of Education School Nurse Certification required.
CPR Certification required.
RN License must be valid.

Responsibilities

Supervises nursing procedures within the classroom setting as prescribed by the student’s family physician or Archway school physician.
Identifies medical needs through observation, monitoring and assessment of student responses to treatment.
Collaborates with parents and teachers to ensure continuity of nursing care and planning.
Collects medical data through health screenings and physician evaluations as mandated by state.
Participates in IEP development for student nursing care plans when appropriate.
Maintains health records and coordinates nursing care with other therapeutic activities.
Monitors administration of medication and maintains related documentation.
Arranges staff training on identification of student medical needs.
Communicates with parents, physicians and schools regarding medical updates and appointments.
