West Valley High School in Yakima, Washington is seeking a Temporary School Nurse (RN or LPN) to manage student health services. The role covers health room operations, medication reviews, and the development of Emergency Care Plans for students with conditions such as diabetes and asthma.

Collaboration with staff and families is essential. The nurse will train staff on health protocols, coordinate screenings, and support students through transitions between buildings while ensuring compliance

Qualificações

• Licensed RN or LPN with BSN preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide health services for students based on student needs.
• Oversee health room.
• Review medication schedules monthly.
• Develop Emergency Care Plans for students with life-threatening conditions.
• Coordinate health screenings with school staff.
• Educate staff on Emergency Care Plans and asthma/epinephrine protocols.
• Coordinate transitions between buildings (Elementary to Middle School).
• Train staff regarding student health concerns and emergency procedures.
