Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance through the Alabama State Department of Education before start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students.
• Administer medications, treatments, and first aid per protocols.
• Monitor chronic conditions and collaborate with parents and doctors.
• Deliver health education programs and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Provide counseling on nutrition, hygiene, sexual health, and prevention.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate health education into curriculum.
• Respond to emergencies and develop emergency plans for safety.
• Train staff on CPR, first aid, and use of medical equipment.
• Maintain accurate health records and immunization data.
• Document health interactions with families and healthcare providers.
• Generate reports on health trends and immunization compliance.
• Maintain records in the student information system.
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings when appropriate.
