Qualifications

• An earned associate's degree (RN).
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current Florida RN license in good standing.
• CPR or BLS certification per standards.
• Successful completion of job-related tests: Medication and Universal Precautions.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in performance of duties.
• Apply nursing theory to support school health decisions.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive school health program.
• Consult with administration to revise procedures.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate paraprofessionals.
• Develop and implement in-service programs for staff.
• Identify students at risk and communicate health needs to staff.
• Develop individualized health plans and follow up on referrals.
• Complete written reports to ensure continuity of the program.
