Job summary

Molalla River SD 35 invites applications for a District Nurse serving as an itinerant nurse across the Molalla area. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE - 205 days position requiring an RN with a BSN and an Oregon license, preferably with school or public health nursing experience.

The nurse will deliver a school-based health program, manage medications, develop health plans, and coordinate with families and district staff. Starting Sep 14, 2026, with a salary range of $72,017 to $116,748 per year.

Qualifications

• Hold an RN with a BSN and be registered with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Prior nursing experience in public health, public school or pediatric settings.
• Knowledge of child growth and development and health protocols in a school system.
• Basic computer literacy using Microsoft and Google applications (Word, Excel, Gmail/Calendar).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing services, first aid, illness care, and emergency response to students and staff.
• Develop and follow medication protocols for school use and document administration.
• Establish and manage health screening programs per state mandates.
• Maintain and secure school health records in line with district/state requirements.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and community services to support student health.
