Job summary

Qualifications

• General experience and specialized experience totals per spec.
• Current certifications in first aid and CPR at employment start.

Responsibilities

• Administers emergency first aid to ill or injured students.
• Takes temperature and monitors health of students; observes and discusses symptoms.
• May administer medications per strict guidelines with approvals.
• Contacts parents/guardians about illness or injury.
• May call for ambulance in emergencies.
• Performs health screenings (hearing, vision, height/weight) as directed.
• Completes records and refers health records to the nurse.
• Maintains a clean health room and supplies.
• Provides health information to staff and coordinates wellness activities.
• Liaises between home, school and community for health services.
