Elk River Area School District is seeking a Health Services Assistant to provide health services to students and staff district-wide under the supervision of the Licensed School Nurse and Site Principal. The role requires strong clinical coordination, record keeping and safety-minded care during 195 days per year with 7.0 hours per day.

Responsibilities include administering medication as prescribed, assisting with immunization/compliance, maintaining health records, and supporting screening

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in health care setting preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications required.
• Ability to use medical equipment and maintain confidential health records.

Responsabilités

• Perform first aid, emergency care and illness interventions.
• Administer medications per physician orders and parent authorization.
• Assist in disease prevention and immunization compliance.
• Maintain health records and update student information systems.
• Assist with vision and hearing screenings and follow-ups.
• Coordinate screening programs and health-related events.
• Maintain site health supplies and equipment.
• Perform general office duties and receptionist tasks.
• Refer students to counselors or health staff as needed.
• Work overtime including evenings, weekends and holidays.
