Job summary

Muhlenberg School District is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support the school health program. You will assist the school nurse in maintaining the health room, handling records, and performing basic health-related clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, providing first aid, monitoring medications, and contacting parents when needed. You will cover for the nurse during absences and participate in kindergarten registration as required.

Qualifications

• LPN or RN license is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates are required.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health room under the direction of the school nurse.
• Keep and process health and related records; perform clerical tasks as needed.
• Assist with student examinations and screenings.
• Provide first aid to students and staff.
• Monitor medication distribution as directed by the school nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality of health information.
• Complete preliminary accident reports and contact parents/guardians when needed.
• Provide coverage for the school nurse during absences and assist with kindergarten registration.
• Respond promptly to supervisory recommendations and perform other duties as assigned.
