Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Health Assistant to support the school nurse and safeguard student health on campus. You will perform routine health tasks, provide basic first aid, administer medications as delegated, and manage health office clerical duties.

Strong communication, comfort working with children, and the ability to stay calm in crises are essential. CPR certification is required; 1–2 years in healthcare or school health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification is required.
• 1-2 years of healthcare or school health experience preferred.
• Experience with Power School and basic office tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate care to students with illness or injury on campus.
• Take vital signs and provide basic first aid and CPR.
• Under RN supervision, administer and record medications in Power School.
• Verify immunizations, conduct vision and hearing screenings, and maintain records.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and families and communicate with parents.
