Job summary

Springfield Platteview Community Schools is seeking a Health Room Paraprofessional to support students and staff in the school health office. The role provides first aid, CPR, minor illness care and medication administration under the direction of the school nurse.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or GED and maintain current pediatric and adult CPR and First Aid certifications, with the ability to work independently as part of a team to ensure a safe, healthy school

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and CPR under the direction of the school nurse.
• Administer medications according to district policy with accurate documentation.
• Notify Parents when students are sick.
• Maintain confidentiality and inventory of medications and supplies.
• Assist the school nurse in maintaining a safe, organized health room.
• Communicate with parents and staff about illness, accidents, and health policies.
• Promote healthy habits and proper hygiene in the school environment.
