San Marcos CISD is seeking a Full-Time Health Aide to support school nurses across campuses in San Marcos, TX. The role includes basic first aid, infection control, temperature checks, medication administration under nurse direction, and health screenings.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid CNA or Medical Assistant certification, with at least one year of experience working with children. The work involves assisting at multiple sites as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
• Emergency response certification preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide basic first aid and care for minor injuries and illnesses per nurse protocol.
• Take temperatures and assist ill students.
• Administer glucose-monitoring tests for diabetic students.
• Assist with vision and hearing screenings and other health screenings.
• Assist with student hygiene and changing diapers as needed.
• Administer medications after nurse instruction.
• Maintain daily log of health office activities and referrals.
• Review immunization records for compliance.
