San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District District Wide is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support school nurses across multiple sites in the district. The role is nonexempt with a starting wage of $17.10 per hour and requires a CNA or MA certification plus experience with children and clerical tasks.

The position involves first aid, health screenings, medication administration, and maintaining health records.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CNA or MA certification required.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
• Emergency response certification preferred.
• Vision and hearing screening certification preferred.
• Texas Education Agency paraprofessional certification preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide basic first aid and care for minor injuries according to district protocol.
• Assist in care of ill students, including taking temperatures.
• Administer glucose-monitoring tests for diabetic students.
• Assist with health screening activities (vision/hearing, height/weight).
• Assist with personal hygiene and diapering as needed.
• Administer medications after nurse instruction and supervision.
• Maintain a daily log of health office activities and reports.
• Keep work area clean and sanitary using Universal Precautions.
