Job summary

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District seeks a Health Aide to support the health, safety, and well-being of students at Valley Pathways High School. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct care, maintain health records, and ensure compliance with Alaska guidelines and district policies.

Starting wage ranges from $21.96 to $26.76 per hour, with an additional $5 premium for those holding an LPN license or higher.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of college (at least 48-semester hour credits); or Associate's (or higher) degree; or Pass the Para Pro Assessment and the Paraprofessional Standards Checklist.

Responsibilities

Provide basic first aid, CPR, and AED interventions as needed, following established protocols.
Administer medications and record administration in accordance with provider orders and district policies.
Deliver direct care to students with chronic health conditions according to individual health care plans.
Maintain accurate, timely health records for student interactions, screenings, and medications.
Collaborate with RN, administrators, staff, and families to support student health and safety.
Perform mandated screenings (vision, hearing) and document results.
Report unusual health issues or injuries promptly to the RN and parents/guardians.
Document incidents per district policy and participate in Health Services meetings and training.
Perform other health-related duties as assigned.
